As a result, the Combatant commanders (CCDRs) enjoy freedom in choosing the most efficient means to operationalize national strategic guidance using the tool they prefer. Strategic estimate enables efficient analysis on an extensive area of responsibility. For instance, a good choice would be the Baltic Sea region which has characterized military hiccups between NATO and Russia. Additionally, strategic estimates assist in global and subordinate campaign plans. The joint planning (JP 5-0) pinpoints important features like outlining the operation environment required by the CCDR's. There is a need to analyze the strategic direction of important multinational forces, the defense secretary, and the helm of leadership-the President to ensure the protection of a country's interest in the area of responsibility.S environment Nations have reestablished competitions on the defense strategy they apply to gain supremacy over one another.
