Title: Equilibrium Reactions
Purpose: The purpose of this experiment is to evaluate and study the equilibrium by measuring the equilibrium constant.
Procedure:
We performed 2 different experiments:
- Determination of the equilibrium constant Kc
- Study of LeChatelier’s principle
Experiment #1: acetic acid vs. propyl alcohol
- Summary: After gathering supplies, we created a solution of acetic acid and propyl
- Place 10.0 mL acetic acid and 10.0 mL propyl alcohol in a small flask. A 1.0 mL sample
- We then titrated with sodium hydroxide from a burette.
- As we titrated, we observed for a pink color change in the beaker. We continued to titrate
