Azithromycin RX
- Ceftriaxone 250 mg intramuscularly in a single dose plus
azithromycin 1 gram orally in a single dose is regimen recommended in the 2015 STD treatment guidelines for uncomplicated gonococcal urethritis. These guidelines have since been updated but providers still using old treatment regimen such as this.
Erythromycin
- Trade name is "illotycin"
0.5% ointment
indications for use: topical ophthalmic antibacterial agent
apply 1 cm in affected eye up to 6 times/day for 7 days
Tinidazole
- 2 g PO once a day for 3-5 days
indications: recurrent/persistent nongonococcal urethritis/STD's
Directions: take 2 g PO once a day for 3-5 days. Contraindicated in
breast-feeding women (pump & dump during treatment and for 3 days after treatment is done)
Kava adverse effects
- Severe liver damage (hepatoxicity)
