Coefficient_ of_Restit...

Purpose:

To understand the coefficient of restitution and its relation to the different type of collisions (inelastic, elastic, and partially elastic.) • To understand how to calculate the coefficient of restitution.• To understand the application of the coefficient of restitution in our daily lives/real world. • Hypothesis:If the coefficient of restitution is closer to 1, then the collision is likely to be elastic. On the contrary, if the coefficient of restitution is closer to 0, then the collision is likely to be inelastic. The coefficient of restitution is able to use the ratio of velocities before and after a collision to understand the "bounciness" or elasticity of the collision.
