HOW MANY PEOPLE IT AFFECTED. AND ITS

IMPACT ON THE MOVMENT.

DESCRIBE WHAT ‘THE LIMITS OF GROWTH’ IS

AND ITS IMPACT ON THE MOVEMENT.

1.1972: The Club of Rome wrote about the

rapidly growing economy and how it will 1 / 4

deplete all of our finite resources. It is the best-selling environmental book.

2.It made people more conscious about their use of resources. It helped launch modern environmental computer modelling and it began current globally focused environmental debate.

DESCRIBE WHAT GREENPEACE IS AND ITS

IMPACT ON THE MOVEMENT.

1.1970: Raises awareness of the

importance of harmony between nature and humans.

2.This is achieved through movies, videos, peaceful protests, headlines, rallies etc.

1.Deep ecologists: Nature over humans.

Promote organisms that do not help humans.

2.Ecocentrics: Nature centred. Nature is

central. Education and bio rights should be prioritized.

3.Anthropocentric: People centred. Humans

can manage earth through taxes, legislation and regulation.

4.Technocentric: Technology solves

problems. Scientific research and new research will be found. The economy comes first.

MODEL.
